All services are currently suspended due to coronavirus.
But prayer and worship in the parish have not been suspended! Here are some resources to help at this time:
12pm noon on Wednesdays and Sundays
Please join us in spirit - together we can pray together specifically for our parish.
Feel free to use your own prayers, or use the Lord's prayer or this prayer written in response to the coronavirus:
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for a Pandemic (Anon)
May we who are merely inconvenienced, remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have low risk factors, remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home, remember those who must choose between their health or paying their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close, remember those who have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips remember those that have no place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market, remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for a quarantine at home remember those who have no home.
As fear grips our country, let us choose love.
During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbours. Amen

Let us pray for God's wisdom for our government and councillors, his strength and health for our health care professionals, for healing and mercy on those who are unwell, for a breakthrough for our scientists, for protection on those serving in shops, working on farms and getting food to our doors. And let us pray for courage for ourselves, comfort for those who are frightened and lonely, and a willingness to think of others at this time. In Jesus' name.
God does not want us to be afraid, but to know that he loves us, and is with us whatever happens. You might find this verse from the Bible helpful: Deuteronomy 33:27 'The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.'
With our love and prayers, Liz and Jeff
